York University Elevator Foundation
Ground Force Foundations was approached to come up with an innovative solution to install helical piles to support a new elevator at a York University institutional building in Toronto. After careful planning with our client, access was provided by opening a hole in the roof and lowering our equipment to the base of the proposed elevator pit.
The pile installation, including hoisting into and out of the elevator shaft, was completed in only one day in order to keep the project on schedule.
